Visiting any church for the very first time can make anyone a little nervous. Where do I go? What do I wear? What time do I show up? What's here for my kids? What can I expect? These and many more questions can come to your mind. Well, we want to put you at ease. Your first visit to Gospel Light Baptist Church will be refreshing, friendly, and enjoyable for your whole family. We want you to experience inspiring music, helpful teaching and preaching, friendly people, and a place where you feel welcome and "at home!" Here are a few answers to your questions about what you might expect on your first visit.

Finding the Church

You can't miss our growing campus at the intersection of 4th Street and Garland Avenue. The main entrance is on Garland Avenue, and you will recognize it by the large church logo on the side of the building. As you pull on campus, our parking lot attendants will help you find a place to park; and as you approach the main auditorium, one of our First Impressions greeters will meet you and direct you to the right classes and services. They can also answer other questions you may have.

What's the morning schedule?

For your convenience and also because of our growing congregation, there are two worship services that are available to you. Sunday school classes (for all ages)  begin at 9:15 A.M., and then our worship service begins at 10:30 A.M. You can choose to attend what best fits your needs and schedule. If you can't join us on Sunday, you are invited to attend our Bible Study Fellowships every Wednesday at 7:00 P.M.

Finding Nurseries, Classes, and Services

Our campus has a lot of buildings, which to a guest can seem overwhelming at first. It's not as complicated as it looks, and we would like to help you find the appropriate nurseries, classes, and services for every person in your family. Our greeters and ushers are located around campus, as well as in the lobby and hallways of the main auditorium, and will gladly help direct and even escort you to the right place.

What programs do you have for my kids?

Starting with excellent nurseries, we offer something for every age child from birth through college! At every service on Sunday morning there are safe, clean, and highly staffed nurseries for children three years old and under. For children four years old through sixth grade there are fun, friendly, and Bible-centered classes.These classes are staffed with trained, friendly, and well-qualified teachers and helpers who will make church exciting and memorable for your child. For students seventh grade through twelfth grade, there are graded classes in our youth department. Teens attend a class one hour and then enjoy our Teen Church service at 11:00 A.M.

What should I expect as an adult visitor?

Gospel Light offers a wide array of adult Sunday school classes for couples and singles at any stage of life. These classes are smaller group settings where you are invited to meet people, enjoy some coffee and donuts, and hear a Bible lesson directly applicable to your stage in life. The best way to get to know people at Gospel Light Baptist Church is to visit one of these adult Bible classes.

Singles | Couples | Senior Saints

After Sunday School, plan on attending our morning worship service where you will enjoy the beautiful and inspiring music of the choir, ensembles, and soloists. The music is always followed by a clear, helpful, and challenging Bible message from Senior Pastor Eric Capaci. (This service is a little over one hour in length.) Following the morning worship service, Pastor Capaci would like to personally greet you and thank you for visiting Gospel Light.

How should I dress?

There is not a dress code at Gospel Light Baptist Church for members or guests. Our ministry leaders and many of our church family dress in more traditional “Sunday” dress; however, our main goal is that you would feel welcome and comfortable for your visit here at Gospel Light.

Do I have to participate in the offering?

No. We do not invite you to Gospel Light Baptist Church for your offering. We want our service to be a gift to you. We hope you will find in our church a warm family spirit, truth from God's Word, and a home where you can grow in God's grace. Please do not feel any obligation to participate in the offering as a guest.
