Annual Missions Conference

Missions Conference This years missions conference “The Heartbeat of Our Mission is Missions” says it all. This year’s conference should be an exciting time of encouragement, enlightenment, and enlargement as we ask the Lord to help us enlarge our coast for missions to reach further around the globe. Our main speakers this year are internationally known for their vision and burden for souls.

To kick off our conference Dr. David Wood will be speaking on Wednesday evening, March 12th. Dr. Wood never intended to be an internationally recognized evangelist. After graduating from Bible school, he founded and pastored two successful churches, one in the South and one in the Midwest. Both became known for explosive growth and were listed among their state's fastest growing congregations. Dr. Wood conducts one or two international crusades each year. Their ministry rejoices that nearly 30,000 have received Christ during crusades in the Philippines, Mexico, South Africa, and Germany. One of his soul winning training programs, Operation GO, has been translated into Spanish. Eighty Spanish-speaking churches have already been equipped with videos, workbooks, and all the support materials at no charge. Thousands have been saved due to this ministry. The focus of David Wood Ministries has always been on revival and soul winning.

Charles KeenOur main speaker for the remainder of the week is Dr. Charles Keen. During thirty-five years as pastor, Dr. Keen led First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio to become one of the premier missions churches in America. Over fifty families were sent to the foreign field. Dr. Keen’s mission burden later expanded to include the founding of First Bible International to target the unreached people groups of the world. Dr. Keen oversees the ministry of First Bible International and is the executive editor of the Unpublished WORD Journal.

Our missions will be held March 12 through the March 16th. Wednesday to Friday, the services will begin at 7:00 pm. Saturday’s service will be held in the cafeteria at 5:00 pm. Sunday services will be held at their regular times. Great music, preaching, and testimonials from over seven missionary families will surely be a highlight this year at Gospel Light Baptist Church, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
