Annual Missions Conference
“Give It A Gol” is the theme of our 2010 missions conference. Pastor Capaci and Gospel Light Baptist Church are serious about reaching our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our conference will be a time of refocusing our vision, reorganizing our priorities, and redirecting our resources to this urgent need.
We are hosting a wonderful group of young fired-up and Godly missionaries at this year’s conference. To kick off our conference Bro. Bob Bowen will be speaking on Wednesday evening, March 24th.
To train and challenge us we have invited Brother Frank Shiver as our main speaker. Bro. Shiver has been preaching the word of God for over 52 years. Saved in 1956 at the Bible Baptist Church in Fernandina, Florida he and his wife followed the Lord to Baptist Bible College in Springfield. Missouri. After he graduated he spent seven years on the mission field of Korea before he felt the Lord call him back to America. He then served as the pastor of Regency Baptist Temple of Jacksonville, Florida for almost 22 years. The church saw great success during the time of his pastorate and gre to a membership of over 600. Once again God called Bro. Shiver into a different ministry and he immediately resigned his pastorate. Since 1989 he has travelled the country working with Revival Ministries. He and his wife have been married for 57 years and have a great testimony of faighfulness and love for the Lord.
Our missons conference will be held March 11th through March 15th. Wednesday to Friday, the services will begin at 7:00 P.M. Saturday’s service will be held in the cafeteria at 5:00 P.M. Sunday services will be held at their regular times. Great music, preaching, and testimonies from our missionary families will surely be a highlight this year at Gospel Light Baptist Church, Hot Springs, Arkansas.
